Bi-Est Vaginal Cream (Estriol / Estradiol 80/20) (30 mL)
Bi-Est (estriol/estradiol) (80/20) vaginal cream is a compounded hormone cream containing two forms of estrogen: estriol and estradiol, in an 80/20 ratio. This combination may assist with symptoms associated with menopause, such as vaginal dryness, itching, burning and discomfort during intercourse. Estriol and estradiol are both estrogens, with estriol being a weaker form and estradiol being a more potent form. Together, they may help replenish estrogen levels in the vaginal tissue, which may help alleviate menopausal symptoms and improve vaginal health.
Estriol, being the milder estrogen, may have a lower risk of stimulating the endometrium (lining of the uterus), although studies are inconclusive and debated. The 80/20 ratio of estriol to estradiol is designed with a higher percentage of this potentially less potent estrogen.
Bi-Est vaginal cream may be applied intravaginally, which may help provide local relief through absorption directly into the vaginal tissue. This localized hormone cream may be an option for women who primarily experience vaginal symptoms of estrogen deficiency.
