Testosterone vaginal cream is a hormone cream that may assist with the treatment of symptoms of vaginal atrophy in postmenopausal women, such as dryness, itching, burning and painful intercourse.[1] The cream contains testosterone, a hormone that, although more commonly associated with male physiology, may aid in women’s health by contributing to the maintenance of libido, vaginal tissue health and overall sexual function.[2] By applying testosterone directly to the vaginal area, this therapy may help alleviate these menopausal symptoms.[1][2]
The cream may be administered intravaginally using an applicator to aid in delivering the medication to the affected area.
