GHK-Cu Facial Serum (30 g)
Firstly discovered in the 1970s, GHK- Cu plays a significant part in stimulating collagen conflation and perfecting towel form. Studies have suggested that GHK- Cu may help support skin pliantness, smoothness, and overall appearance, making it a popular component inanti-aging skincare phrasings. It has also been explored for its implicit to prop in crack mending.
GHK-Cu, or Copper Tripeptide-1, is a small peptide composed of three amino acids and copper. It plays a vital role in cellular repair, regeneration, and skin rejuvenation.
Wound Healing and Tissue Repair: The peptide promotes skin cell regeneration and accelerates the healing of damaged skin. This helps reduce the appearance of scars and hyperpigmentation over time.
Antioxidant Properties: GHK-Cu has antioxidant effects, neutralizing free radicals that cause oxidative stress and premature aging, keeping the skin looking youthful and radiant.
Improves Skin Barrier Function: It enhances the skin’s ability to retain moisture, improving hydration and protecting the skin from environmental stressors.
While GHK-Cu is generally well-tolerated, there are certain conditions where caution is advised
Contraindications:
Known Allergy to Copper or Peptides: Individuals who are allergic to copper peptides or any of the ingredients in the serum should avoid use.
Open Wounds or Broken Skin: Do not apply the serum directly to open wounds or severely damaged skin unless advised by a healthcare provider.
Precautions:
Sensitive Skin: People with highly sensitive skin should perform a patch test prior to use to avoid irritation.
Eye Area: GHK-Cu serum should not be applied to the delicate skin around the eyes unless explicitly labeled for such use. Contact with the eyes should be avoided; rinse with water if this occurs.
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding: Although GHK-Cu is not classified as a known teratogen, consult a healthcare provider before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Combination with Other Products: If using other active skincare products (e.g., retinoids, acids), it’s recommended to introduce GHK-Cu serum gradually to avoid over-exfoliation or irritation.
Although GHK-Cu Facial Serum is well-tolerated by most users, some may experience mild side effects:
Skin Irritation: Mild redness, stinging, or burning sensation may occur, especially if used alongside other active ingredients. If this persists, reduce usage or discontinue and consult a dermatologist.
Allergic Reactions: Rarely, individuals may experience allergic reactions such as itching, swelling, or rash. In such cases, cease use and seek medical attention.
Breakouts or Acne: Some users may experience an increase in acne or clogged pores when first using the serum, though this is generally temporary as the skin adjusts.
Dryness or Tightness: Overuse may lead to dryness or tightness of the skin, especially if not properly hydrated.
Hyperpigmentation (Rare): In some cases, particularly with those with sensitive skin, irritation may lead to dark spots or pigmentation.
Pregnancy Category: Although the peptide is naturally found in the body and generally considered safe for topical use, it is recommended to consult with a healthcare provider before using the serum during pregnancy, particularly in the first trimester.
Breastfeeding: Similar to pregnancy, there is no definitive evidence that GHK-Cu is harmful while breastfeeding. However, it is always advisable to consult with a doctor before applying any topical treatments while nursing.
